Considering Adoption

After much agonizing and consideration, I think Jeri & I have decided to forgo egg donation (for now) and try adoption on for size... I've been trying to find out how to start the homestudy process without using an agency (I did read you can do it through the state for FREE), but I'm finding it very difficult to find any information on the internet. We are also considering a foster-to-adopt program with the state. It too is fairly uncostly, brings us quick results, and we may get to keep the child/children brought to us. That's another perk... siblings. :) We're meeting with some friends that we know who have been through domestic adoption experiences to hear their thoughts/opinions and we'll go from there.
