Foster Care Update/Tristan

Last week on Wednesday our new case worker came to our house to meet us and certify us as a foster care home. We showed her the green room aka the kids' room. We told her the crib was back in the corner because we had been told it is highly unlikely we would get a baby. She scoffed at that and said you'll probably get a baby.

5 days later, at 3:30 am on Monday, that statement came true. We became foster parents to an 11 month old baby boy named Tristan. The past 6 days has been a true adjustment period for all of us. Tristan seems to love us, and certainly we him already.

We are unsure how long we will get to keep him, as I know his mommy is working hard to get him back with her.
