Materials:
Paper
shaving cream
paint
(we used finger paint because it was non-toxic and easily cleaned)
cookie sheet
a towel
(If we were to do this again, I'd have two big towels ready, 1 that is wet for rinsing and 1 for drying)
Almost naked kid
First, we put shaving cream on the cookie sheet. Reece helped me spread it on.
I propped the cookie sheet on my legs and had Reece sitting across from me. I'm thinking if we did this again, that I would probably put her in the high chair.
Next we squirted the paint over the shaving cream. Reece helped me to swirl the paint into the shaving cream with her hands... and legs, and arms, and feet.
We added more paint until I felt like there was a good mix of colors. Then we placed a sheet of paper across the shaving cream, pressing down on the paper slightly to get a good impression.
After this one we had to add more shaving cream and paint to get more pictures.
Another reason to use the high chair... Reece was slipping all over the tile floor because the shaving cream made everything very slick.
Our mess.
After the shaving cream "dries" you can scrape off the excess with a butter knife. Then you have beautiful pictures! We ended up cutting ours out into the shape of an egg, then traced Reece's hand on each one and wrote Happy Easter. We mailed one to each set of grandparents.

Later on we found 2 slings that we had, and found a really awesome tutorial on YouTube on how to actually use the slings. I'm not sure if the Seven sling that we have will actually work for us, even though they're supposed to hold a baby up to 35 pounds, Reece's legs seemed squished and pushed up too high.
Another pinterest project that I thought would benefit our family to make us more organized and also healthier was a menu board.
I thought the easier it was to use, the better, so I put each menu on a disk with the menu on one side and the ingredients on the other side. Each day of the week had a clothes pin to hold the disk. There were two pockets on the right to hold the menus we hadn't used yet, and one for those we had used to ensure that we would mix it up. I also created a spot to determine if our dog had been fed yet or not, because we are forever asking each other, "Did you feed Kate?"
