OSU Classes/Beach

This Sunday started 2 of 4 classes that I am taking online via OSU.  It has been a very stressful process, part of which (a large part) due to that we were supposed to start classes on the 22nd, but did not get registired by OSU until the 27th, leaving me (and all my classmates) with 2 weeks of work to do in one week.  Major pain.  I'm slooooowly making my way through all the assignments.  Of the 12 (YES 12!!) assignments that I have to complete this week ~ on top of all the new technological programs, like wordpress, google docs, carmen and skype ~ I have exactly 4 completely finished.  I have made some progress on all except 2 of the remaining 8 assignments, but hopefully those 2 will be "easy" for me to complete.  It's been hard for me also to concentrate on school work while at the beach.  Luckily though if I get everything done for this week, technically I don't have anything due for another 2 weeks and I can really enjoy my 2nd week here (when Jeri also joins me), but I might die with another week of 2 weeks worth of work...  Okay, maybe not die, but certainly be a bit stressed out.

We've been at the beach now for 3 days, and it's been really nice.  We've spent time walking on the beach, swimming, floating, reading books (I've already finished one!), and of course playing games.  Tonight I played Haize (like Euchre doubled with 6 people) with my grandparents, aunt and parents.  I got one of the two Haizes in the game (when you take all the tricks)!  Pretty amazing.  :)  We also watched Twilight tonight with a Riff track (where they make fun of the movie) it was funny for the most part, and made seeing Twilight for like the 100th time totally worth it.

We stay in Sandbridge, Virginia, which if you ask me is pretty much the best place in the world to go on vacation.  We stay in a beach house that, while it has public access to it, really does not allow for the general public to come to our part of the beach, so it is very quiet.  It also has absolutely nothing to do except go to the beach and hang out with family.  Another thing that is great about Sandbridge is that you can leave your stuff on the beach and not worry about it, unlike many resort places.  Okay, Sandbridge is by no means a typical resort town, it's where people go to simply get away.

  1. Sounds super relaxing. I wish you didn't have to worry about classes while you are there, but still, a beach is a beach! :-)
